Chronic Total Occlusion Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (CTO-PCI)

CTO refers to the complete blockages in coronary arteries that develop over a prolonged period of time and can often lead to collaterals, or conduits in between coronary arteries without intervening capillary beds, that provide alternate routes for blood supply.

Subsequently, patients with CTO may develop symptoms varying in severity and character associated with myocardial ischemia, including fatigue, chest pain, dyspnea, neck or arm pain, malignant heart rhythm, heart failure, and more.

TAVI / TAVR

The minimally invasive Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation/Replacement (TAVI/TAVR) procedure is performed by a team of Top Cardiologist and Cardiac surgeons. A long hollow tube (sheath) is guided into the femoral artery in the groin using special imaging equipment, a catheter with a balloon on the tip is threaded through the sheath and into the heart. A collapsible replacement valve is delivered to the valve site through the catheter. Once in position, it is unfurled and begins working. The Tissue valve is held in place by a metal frame and is designed to work like your own heart valve.

Coronary Angiogram

A coronary angiogram consists of an X-ray of the arteries in the heart. This procedure is done to evaluate if there's a blockage in blood flow going to the heart, also to know the severity of any heart ailments to figure out how effectively your heart functions. During this procedure, a special type of dye which is visible by an X-ray machine is injected into the blood vessels of your heart. The X-ray machine quickly takes a series of images (angiograms), offering a look at your blood vessels. If necessary, your Cardiologists may open clogged heart arteries (angioplasty) during a coronary angiogram.

Angioplasty

Angioplasty is a procedure to open narrowed or blocked heart arteries and improve the blood flow. It involves temporarily inserting a thin tube through a blood vessel in the arm or groin up to the involved site in the veins. When the tube is in place, the doctor inflates the balloon to widen the artery and restore the blood flow. Angioplasty procedure is used to reduce chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart and prevent damage to the heart muscle from a heart attack.

Coronary Bypass Surgery

Coronary bypass surgery is a procedure that ensures blood flow effectively by creating a new path for the blood to reach the heart. If there are any blockages in your coronary arteries then you might have to undergo coronary bypass surgery. In this procedure, a healthy blood vessel is extracted from the leg or your hand and is connected it beyond the blocked arteries in your heart, so that blood can bypass the blocked coronary artery and reach the heart without any trouble. Though CABG surgery doesn't cure heart diseases, it can ease symptoms such as chest pain and shortness of breath and also improve heart function and minimize the risk of heart disease.

Heart Valve Replacement Surgery

It is a medical procedure that involves replacing the damaged or defective valve (s) in the heart and make sure the heart's blood flow in the right direction. If any of the valve(s) are damaged or diseased, it blocks or affects the blood flow in the heart. People who are suffering from heart valve disease would need treatment, based on the patient's age, valve condition, symptoms, and severity, the doctor advises having surgery. If the diseased heart valve is completely damaged then it is replaced with a new mechanical valve(s) or biological valve(s). There are different surgical procedures for heart valve followed by surgeons which include open-heart surgery, minimally invasive heart surgery, Transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI).
