How to take Linzess?

Take this medicine orally on an empty stomach as directed by the doctor, usually at least 30 minutes before your first meal of the day. Swallow the capsules together. Do not chew or break the capsules.

If you have trouble swallowing the capsule, it can be opened and the contents mixed in a teaspoonful of apple sauce. Swallow the mixture right away, without chewing.

The usual dose of LINZESS is 290 mcg orally once daily.

Idiopathic Chronic Constipation (CIC)

The usual dose of LINZESS is 145 mcg orally once daily. The dose of 72 mcg once daily may be used on the basis of individual presentation or tolerability.

Missed Dose

Missing one or two-dose of Linzess won’t show any effect on your body. The skipped dose causes no problem. But with some medication, it won’t work if you don’t take the dosage on time.
