To use Selenium sulfide for dandruff:
- Wet the hair and scalp with lukewarm water before using this drug.
- Work up a lather on the scalp with enough medication (1 or 2 teaspoonfuls). Allow 2 to 3 minutes for the lather to remain on the scalp before rinsing.
- Apply the medication once more and thoroughly rinse.
- To minimise the risk of hair discoloration, rinse your hair thoroughly for at least 5 minutes after using this medicine on light or blond, dark, or chemically treated (bleached, tinted, permanent-waved) hair.
- Clean your hands thoroughly after treatment.

Missed Dose
Apply the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it's time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and return to the daily dosing schedule. To make up for a missed dose, avoid adding a second dose to it.
Overdose
Overdose of this medication can lead to some serious side effects like irregular heartbeat, trouble while breathing, severe dizziness and fainting.
Storage:
Direct contact with heat, air and light may damage your medicines. Exposure to medicine may cause some harmful effects. The medicine must be kept in a safe place and out of children’s reach. Mainly the drug should be kept at room temperature between 68ºF and 77ºF (20ºC and 25ºC).
